Operations
In Congo (Brazzaville),
Tullow holds an 11% interest in the M'Boundi field. Gross
production from the M’Boundi field averaged 41,000 bopd in
the first half of 2008 and following good reservoir management has
stabilised at that rate.
The M'Boundi crude continues to be blended and sold as part of the
N'Kossa blend, which has been trading close to parity with
Brent.
On 31 January 2008 Tullow announced that it has agreed the sale of its 11% interest in the M'Boundi field to the Korea National Oil Company (KNOC) for a total cash consideration of $435 million.
